Abstract:

The cultivation of the idea of social investigation enables students to have sharper observation and insight into problems. This paper first analyzes the core meaning of the idea of social investigation and explains the implementation process and the importance of social investigation. Secondly, it integrates the idea of social investigation with biology majors in colleges and universities and builds a trinity teaching model. Finally, a quantitative analysis of the examples was conducted to verify the effectiveness of the Trinity teaching model integrating the social investigation idea. The results showed that the experimental class scores increased by 5.48 points compared with the control class, and the difference was 2.436 points in the standard value of the posttest scores, with a significant difference in the P value of 0.0271, which was less than 0.05. The P values of the attitude towards problems, the method of dealing with problems, the quality of problem-solving and the total problem[1]solving ability were 0.002, 0.001, 0.012 and 0.001, respectively, and all of them were less than 0.05. This indicates that the integration of social investigation ideas in college biology majors can effectively enhance students’ problem acumen and improve their problem-solving ability.
