Abstract:

The traditional approach to vocal music education in colleges and universities often encounters limitations in its adaptability and innovation. This study introduces a novel integration of health music culture into vocal music teaching, employing a metabolomics approach to revitalize and enhance the educational process. Metabolomics, a scientific technique traditionally used in health and biology, is applied here to analyze and improve vocal mechanics. This interdisciplinary approach leads to the development of a new teaching methodology focused on adapting vocal mechanics to metabolomics principles. The study investigates vocal change techniques and introduces a three-step method for laryngeal position control tailored to enhance vocal health and performance. The effectiveness of this integrative approach is evaluated through a comparative study, juxtaposing it with conventional vocal teaching models. Results indicate that students corrected an average of 8 vocal errors and improved their efficiency in laryngeal position control by 17.2%, demonstrating significant benefits in the understanding, teaching, and mastery of vocal singing from a health perspective. Moreover, vocal technique evaluations saw an average improvement of 7.8 points, and emotional expression evaluations increased by 11.2 points compared to traditional classroom settings. This study underscores the importance of incorporating health music culture into vocal education, guiding students to actively explore traditional music culture within the context of vocal health. By bridging the gap between traditional vocal music education and the principles of health and metabolomics, this study paves the way for a more holistic, health-conscious approach to vocal training in higher education. It encourages educators to reconsider and reshape their teaching methodologies, emphasizing the importance of vocal health alongside musical excellence Integrating metabolomics into vocal music teaching enhances musical literacy and promotes a deeper understanding of the health aspects of vocal performance, thereby fostering a more holistic approach to vocal education in higher learning institutions.
